STUART (CBSMiami) – A court hearing was held on Monday for murder suspect Austin Harrouff.

A judge ruled that video of Harrouff while in his hospital bed will be permitted as evidence.

The footage shows Harrouff restrained to his hospital bed, struggling in an attempt to break free.

Harrouff was arrested back in 2016 for allegedly killing two people and attacking a third in a Jupiter residential neighborhood.

The attack in August of 2017 left 59-year-old John Stevens III and 53-year-old Michelle Mishcon dead outside their home.

Their neighbor, Jeff Fisher, who tried to intervene in the attack before calling 911, was also injured.

The first deputy on scene found Harrouff biting the face of Stevens.

“He was screaming ‘kill me! I’m eating people, kill me!’” Martin County Sheriff’s deputy Wayne Trocan said.

Harrouff is facing two counts of first-degree murder and one count of attempted murder.

Alvarez can been seen on a home’s surveillance struggling on the sidewalk as the shooter grabs his belongings and takes off.

MIAMI (CBSMiami) — Accused of first-degree murder, Tevaughn Campbell stood before a judge on Friday as he made first court appearance.

Campbell is facing a first-degree murder charge and investigators call him a vicious predator.

“You’re charged with a very very serious offense,” said the judge

Campbell is accused of killing Hicksbert Dwight Grant on October 29 as Grant pulled into his driveway in Coral Springs near Rock Island and Sample Road.

“Mr. Grant came home from running some errands. He went to the bank ATM on University Drive,” said Sgt. Scott Myers with the Coral Springs Police Department.

He was ambushed and violently attacked in his driveway right near his front door.

Police believe the motive was robbery, but it appears Grant had nothing on him after depositing his money into an ATM.

“He was targeted as he left the bank. He was targeted for a robbery and was murdered in his front yard,” said Myers.

“Maybe the most important message I want to deliver to y’all is that he was truly an innocent victim.”

Surveillance video from the neighborhood is what lead police to identify Campbell’s car.

Investigators say he also left this skull cap on the scene.

Detectives were able to match DNA that also led to them to Campbell.

“I think you can ascertain that he was very cold-hearted, cold-blooded predator, vicious. He’s looking at first-degree homicide and may never get out of prison, hopefully,” said Myers

FORT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) – A tip to a Broward sheriff’s detective led to a man’s buried remains and his sister’s arrest.

In early June, Homicide Detective John Curcio said received a tip from a retired law enforcement officer who said he was told by another person that there was a body of a murdered man, 61-year-old Donald Shoff, buried in the backyard of a home in Dania Beach.

On July 9, detectives and crime scene technicians located human remains in the exact location where the retired law enforcement officer said they would be.

The Pinellas County Forensic Lab confirmed the remains were consistent with being the biological child of Shoff-Bock’s mother.

Broward’s Medical Examiner’s Office determined Shoff had been shot in the back of the head.

The sheriff’s office said based on DNA results and evidence from the remains, investigators believe Shoff’s sister, 62-year-old Darlene Shoff-Brock, was the one who killed him.

They believe she shot her brother at a home in Hollywood in May 2014 and buried his body at the Dania Beach location.

The sheriff’s office said while the motive for the murder is under investigation, witnesses told them the two often argued about money, and Shoff accused his sister of stealing money from him.

Shoff-Bock was arrested at her Tamarac home on Wednesday and has been charged with one count of first-degree murder. She’s being held without bond.
